Nazar Bilyk is one of the most famous sculptors in Ukraine. His early work is related to the experiments with negative space. His most recognizable work “Rain” is situated on the Landscape Alley in Kiev. The exhibition “Imaginative distances” has been held at the Kyiv Art Gallery this month. This is the first personal exhibition of the sculptor for the last 3 years. A recent trip to Cappadocia inspired Nazar Bilyk to create new sculptures. Nazar has created sculptural portraits for 15 years, which then covered with plastic layer. Imaginary distances are the distances between our perceptions and reality. Between what we see in a person and who he really is.
